Swiss Chard and Tomato

Try a new vegetable! This yummy combo of Swiss Chard and tomato complete each other nicely for a great, simple side dish
  • 1 lb red Swiss chard
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 2 small tomatoes, diced
  • Dash salt
  • Dash of red pepper flakes
  1. Separate the stems from the leaves
  2. Cut the stems and leaves into ½ inch slices
  3. Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large skillet and add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring occasionally for 1-2 minutes. Add the stems and cook until tender (about 6-7 minutes)
  4. Then add the Swiss chard leaves and cook until slightly wilted, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Then add the Swiss chard leaves and cook until slightly wilted, about 1-2 minutes.
