- 1/2 lb brussel sprouts, trimmed and cut in half
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 slices of turkey bacon
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- Pepper to taste
- Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and the brussel sprouts and sauté until lightly browned. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook 2 slices of turkey bacon in the meantime.
- Add ½ cup low sodium chicken broth to the brussel sprouts, lower the heat and cook uncovered for about 15 minutes or until the brussel sprouts are tender.
- Remove from the pan and place in serving bowl and crumble the turkey bacon on top with a little lemon zest and serve.
